✨My mom has always loved sparkly things — hey, what woman doesn’t?
Her jewelry dazzles, her style turns heads, and her presence has always carried that effortless magic. People have admired her bling her whole life… but the truth is, she was born with that Spark long before any bracelet, ring, or rhinestone ever touched her skin.
A sparkle in her faith.
A sparkle in her strength.
A sparkle in her style.
It’s just part of who she is.
And...
✨I’m Shannon — a daughter, a caretaker, and the woman behind HoldHer Spark.
This brand was born out of long nights in infusion rooms with my mom, Donna, watching her fight plasma cell leukemia with the same grace and grit she’s carried her whole life.✨
✨I wanted to create something that made the hard days feel a little easier, a little lighter… a little more her.✨
✨What started as a simple clothing clip turned into a full line of “Spark”...
✨❤️Donna’s Journey: The Spark Behind It All
In February 2025, everything changed. My mom, Donna, the woman whose sparkle lit up every room — the one I grew up watching put on her makeup and jewelry like armor — was diagnosed with primary plasma cell leukemia, one of the rarest and most aggressive blood cancers. No warning. No roadmap. Just a fight we never asked for, but refused to lose.
From day one, Mom came in swinging. Even though she...
The story of a mother's fight, a daughter's devotion, and the Spark that became a movement. A Spark that refused to fade.
On February 11, 2025, our world split open.
My mom, Donna — the woman whose spark lit up our home, whose laugh made everything brighter, whose presence felt like warmth itself — was diagnosed with primary plasma cell leukemia, one of the rarest and most aggressive blood cancers in existence.
No slow lead-up.
No warnin...
Hi lovely one’s out there! My story will be broken down in parts, as I have so many details to share. First of all, I hope to give you strength and encouragement for caregivers and patients. I was a caregiver and am now a cancer patient. I do not need sympathy. I have learned so much on my journey. I never thought of myself as being strong. Or being in charge. But I was planted there, in situations that defied my being! Like a little seed sprouting. Which way do I grow?
I guess I have always been an empathetic and caring person. I was a dental hygienist for almost 50 years. Now don’t go shaking your head! I was not just the ordinary one. I treated patients gently and took care of many who were petrified of cleanings. Plus, add on the fact that I had a very special gift. I worked with severely disabled people who needed a special touch. I was truly blessed and worked with them as they grew from children to adults. I loved them as I loved my own children. Long story, the state felt that special needs people did not need good dental care and I was forced to retire. I learned a lot about compassion and caring.
I also worked in a very nice dental office. Almost 30 years. People were family to me. I saw children grow up and get married and have children of their own. It has been a wonderful journey. I had to retire because of Covid. Good thing I am retired! The way things worked out, I am ok. I will get into that another time!
For now, that’s it. I will lead into being a caregiver next.
✨Shine on everyone!
